Parents don't have complete authority over their children, judge rules in chemotherapy case

A judge's ruling has forced a Minnesota family to provide chemotherapy for their 13-year-old son. This is a case of religious rights versus state obligations to protect children. The Hauser family from Sleepy Eye, Minn., did not want chemotherapy for their son because it went against their spiritual beliefs. Yet without the treatment the boy would most certainly die.
